Mechanical Grease Workers is used for “worked penetration’’ and “prolonged worked penetration” tests to determine consistency of lubricating greases. ASTM D217; ISO 2137. The instrument is a kind of test equipment to evaluate the performance of the grease cone penetration. Under the test conditions specified by national standards, the change in grease consistency after shearing is measured to determine the mechanical stability of the grease (with extended working cone penetration or shear stability indication, unit is 1/10mm).
